Stanley Robins & Charley Thompson establish the company of Thompson,
Monroe, and Robins.

Edgar Queeny (founder of Monsanto) is one of the first customers.

G.S. Robins & Company is founded. Herbert Dow (founder of the Dow Chemical Company) visits Stanley Robins, which begins its oldest vendor relationship

G.S. Robins buys Whitelaw Chemical, which indirectly makes G.S. Robins the oldest distributor west of the Mississippi. Stanley Robins dies suddenly of a heart attack. Harry Dahm becomes president for the next 30 years. Both Ken Robins and Seth Robins join the family business. G.S. Robins acquires Schmidt Company
(a laundry product distributor)
G.S. Robins creates specialty blends for agriculture.

G. Stephen (Steve) Robins and Andy Robins buy control of the company and restructure it. G.S. Robins acquires RoCorp dry bulk packaging. G.S. Robins acquires the Decatur, Illinois branch. G.S. Robins acquires the Quincy, Illinois branch.

G.S. Robins acquires the Solvent tank farm and packaging facility. G.S. Robins acquires the Springfield, Missouri branch. Sales volume grows to $43 million.

Economic recession tapers off; G.S. Robins resumes expansion. Kansas City, Kansas becomes G.S. Robins 6th Branch. Steve Robins elected to a two year term as President of the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD). G.S. Robins receives the Vanguard Award from Chemical Education Foundation.

The Vanguard Award honors individuals who pioneer and nurture product stewardship relationships across all industries and communities served by the chemical industry.

G.S. Robins ranks #33 in the nation's "Top 100 Chemical Distributor" according to Purchasing Magazine. Founded in 1923, G.S. Robins celebrates 80 years serving the chemical distribution needs of its customers.
